The Grove

Tucked away within a grove of mature aspen and evergreen trees on the shady side of Snowmass Village, this secluded 4,500-square-foot residence mingles beautifully with its environment. The challenge for S2 Architects was to create a fresh mountain aesthetic while retaining the essence of an existing home originally built in 1980. The updated residence strikes a perfect balance with its surroundings, featuring dramatic improvements to the efficiency, and indoor-outdoor livability of the space. Purposefully minimalist, the design relies on rustic alpine materials mingling with natural tones to allow colors of the wildwood center stage.
